How it works:

step 1: THE initial consult

Every custom home project simply begins with a conversation. It is vital that we as designers gain a full understanding of your vision of the perfect home, the way you use and function within your home, and what may not be working for you in your current home. To gain this understanding, we will first schedule an initial consult. This may be held at our office or on site depending on your needs. During this consult we will ask questions, get a feel for your preferred design style, and conduct field measurements. Once we gather all of the needed information, we can begin to create the home of your dreams.

step 2: the vision

Immediately following your initial consult, the SMC team will collaborate in studio to combine creative thoughts and ideas to develop an ideal design presentation for your needs. Depending on the project, this presentation can be in the form of an interior layout, a cabinetry layout, a furniture mood board and much more!

STEP 3: The Design

Once all of the necessary information is gathered, we can move forward with bringing your vision to life. We will partner with other industry professionals (Architects, Builders, etc.) to perfect floor plans, provide cabinetry layouts, and create 3D renderings to help you visualize the future spaces.

STEP 4: SELECTIONS

Once the framework of your design has been completed, we create a list of all of the materials that will be needed to finish your project. We communicate with vendors around the world, visit showrooms, and flip through catalogs in our own library to create the perfect palette to fit your style. This phase can include paint colors, tile, countertops, flooring, furnishings and much more!
